Segundo viaje misionero (Hechos 15:36–18:22)
El viaje continúa (vv. 15:36–16:15)
● Aún entre hermanos en la fe pueden surgir desacuerdos, pero es necesario aprender a manejar los conflictos (Efesios 4:26)
○ Bernabé quería llevar a Juan Marcos al segundo viaje misionero, pero Pablo se oponía debido a que Juan Marcos había abandonado la obra anteriormente (vv. 38—40)
○ Si te han ofendido, es tu responsabilidad hacerle saber a tu ofensor (Mateo 18:15)
● Tenemos que ser sensibles a la guía de Dios en nuestras vidas (Salmos 32:8; Proverbios 3:5)
○ El Espíritu Santo impidió a Pablo predicar en ciertos lugares. Después de recibir una visión de un hombre macedonio pidiendo ayuda, entendió que debía ir a Macedonia (v. 16:6—10)
● Comparte el Evangelio con todos, confiando en el poder de Dios para transformar corazones inesperados como Lidia (vv. 16:14—15)
Expansión y lucha (vv. 16:16–17:34)
● Debemos mantener la fe incluso durante la persecución (2 Timoteo 4:7; Hebreos 10:23)
○ Pablo y Silas fueron atacados, golpeados y arrestados, pero en la cárcel, en lugar de desanimarse, oraron y cantaron himnos (vv. 16:22—25)
○ Cuando te encuentres con resistencia o persecución, mantén firme tu fe y tu compromiso de difundir el mensaje de Cristo.
● Seamos reconocidos como personas que cambian el mundo por medio de nuestra fe
○ Así como Pablo y Silas fueron reconocidos como personas que revolucionaron el mundo (v. 6)
○ Nunca debemos avergonzarnos del evangelio, ya que es el poder de Dios para llevar salvación (Romanos 1:16)
● Debemos aumentar nuestro apetito por la Palabra de Dios, verificando la verdad.
○ Después de que Pablo predicó, los bereanos recibieron la palabra con ansias y examinaron las Escrituras diariamente (v. 11)
○ La palabra de Dios es verdad y guía nuestro camino; por eso, debemos leerla constantemente (Salmos 119:105; Josué 1:8)
Ministerio en Corinto (vv. 18:1–22)
● Debemos trabajar mientras avanzamos el reino de Dios (1 Timoteo 5:8; 2 Tesalonicenses 3:10-12)
○ En Corinto, Pablo trabajaba como tendero para sostenerse, mientras hacía avanzar el reino de Dios (vv. 3—4)
○ Reconoce el valor de equilibrar el trabajo secular con el ministerio, utilizando tus habilidades y recursos para apoyarte a ti mismo y avanzar en el reino de Dios.
● No debemos tener miedo de ser testigos de Dios. Él está con nosotros y nunca nos abandonará (Josué 1:9; Mateo 28:20)
○ Pablol fue animado al escuchar de Dios que Él estaba con él y que no se quedara callado al ser Su testigo (vv. 9—10)
LESSON 8
Second Missionary Trip (Acts 15:36–18:22)
The Journey Continues (vv. 15:36–16:15)
● Even among brethren in the faith, disagreements may arise, but it is necessary to learn how to handle conflicts (Ephesians 4:26)
○ Barnabas wanted to take John Mark on the second missionary journey, but Paul was opposed because John Mark had left the work earlier (vv. 38—40)
○ If you have been offended, it is your responsibility to let your offender know (Matthew 18:15)
● We must be sensitive to God's guidance (Psalm 32:8; Proverbs 3:5)
○ The Holy Spirit prevented Paul from preaching in certain places. After receiving a vision of a Macedonian man asking for help, he understood that he had to go to Macedonia (v. 16:6—10)
● Share the gospel with everyone, trusting God's power to transform unexpected hearts like Lydia's (vv. 16:14—15)
Expansion and Struggle (vv. 16:16–17:34)
● We must keep the faith even during persecution (2 Timothy 4:7; Hebrews 10:23)
○ Paul and Silas were attacked, beaten, and arrested, but in prison, instead of being discouraged, they prayed and sang hymns (vv. 16:22—25)
○ When you encounter resistance or persecution, hold firm to your faith and your commitment to spreading the message of Christ
● Let us be recognized as people who change the world through our faith
○ Just as Paul and Silas were identified as people who revolutionized the world, let us be recognized as people who change the world with our faith (v. 6)
○ We should never be ashamed of the gospel since it is the power of God to bring salvation (Romans 1:16)
● We must increase our appetite for the Word of God by verifying the truth.
○ After Paul preached, the Bereans eagerly received the word and examined the Scriptures daily (v. 11)
○ The word of God is truth and guides our way; therefore, we must read it constantly (Psalm 119:105; Joshua 1:8)
Ministry in Corinth (vv. 18:1–22)
● We must work as we advance the kingdom of God (1 Timothy 5:8; 2 Thessalonians 3:10—12)
○ In Corinth, Paul worked as a shopkeeper to support himself while advancing the kingdom of God (vv. 3—4)
○ Recognize the value of balancing secular work with ministry, using your skills and resources to support yourself and advance God's kingdom
● We should not be afraid to be God's witnesses. He is with us and will never forsake us (Joshua 1:9; Matthew 28:20).
○ Paul was encouraged to hear from God that He was with him and not to be silent in being His witness (vv. 9-10)
